Anchorage Neighborhoods that Will be Badly Affected by Climate Change

How will climate change affect Anchorage neighborhoods?

According to this map released by Climate Central, several neighborhoods, or parts of them will become submerged. These are the worst case scenarios by the year 2100. You can view other parts of Alaska and change the year to 2050 if you like. Many villages across Alaska are facing rising sea levels a lot sooner than Anchorage.

Are you a bird watcher? Many people like to view and photograph wild birds in and around Anchorage. While you can drive to many locate birding hotspots, here homes in which you can walk to birding locations.

Potter Marsh

Subdivisions located in the University Area

The University Area is a community council area. U-Med is the name of the neighborhood that encompasses the UAA, APU, Providence, and ANMC campuses. There are many other businesses located in this area. Many people want to buy homes or lease commercial space in this area due to its high traffic numbers. The infamous Lake Otis and Tudor intersection is located here and daily traffic numbers are large. This week we are featuring neighborhoods in the Abbott Loop Community Council area.
